About

My name is AJ Bocchini and my journey is very much unfinished.

From crashing wheelchairs to national championships, this is my story.

Born two months early and weighing a mere 3 pounds 14 ounces, I was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age. It was the introduction of a wheelchair that began my many adventures.  I was fortunate enough to be raised in the small village of Kohler, Wisconsin, where my love for sports developed and flourished.

My passion for basketball took me to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s in athletic administration. While at Whitewater I was the student manager for the men’s basketball team which won two national championships.

I wrote this book to share my journey through humorous and insightful stories with the hopes you will be inspired and also challenged to overcome all that is before you.

Once again it is a true joy of mine to share my story with you and it is my sincere hope that you are able to take even some of what you learned about me and apply it to your life in order to make yourself and others around you successful.
